Welcome to Port Macquarie Community Preschool
Port Macquarie Community Preschool is owned and run by the community. We are a community based non-for-profit Preschool, providing high quality early childhood education and care for children aged between 3 and 6 years.
We are governed by a Board of Management as our Approved Provider. The board consists of elected parents/ guardians of the children enrolled (the ‘members’) and community representatives.
We are committed to providing high quality Early Childhood education and creating a supportive learning environment for all children. Our aim is to provide the children enrolled with a stimulating, happy and caring educational environment. In partnership with parents and the community, we strive to enrich children's lives and gently expand their world.
We have two premises:
The Munster Street service is licensed for 60 children per day with a maximum of 20 children in each room grouping.
The Annex, located at 3 Bagnoo Place, is licensed for 25 children per day and operates a multi-age grouping.
Exceeding the National Quality Standard!
Port Macquarie Community Preschool has been rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard under the National Quality Framework. The National Quality Framework gives significant recognition to the importance of the quality of experiences for children in their early years to ensure their present and future health, development and wellbeing.
We are a not-for- profit community-run preschool catering for children aged from 3 to 5 years old, and have been operating in partnership with parents and the community – since 1973.
Our bigger centre is located at 41 Munster Street, Port Macquarie. It is licensed for 60 children each day, with 20 children per classroom.
The Annex is located at 3 Bagnoo Place. It has one classroom and is licensed for 25 children per day.
